FROM THE BIG SMOKE TO THE FARM – JACK ANDERSEN: COFFS HARBOUR HYDRAULINK HSST
“I grew up in Sydney and spent a lot of time in my Father’s motorcycle shop and car workshop and that’s likely where my passion and enthusiasm for mechanics began. These days I live just north of Coffs Harbour on my farm with my fiancé Holly and our twin daughters Mia & Mikayla.
I have over 10 year’s experience as a plant mechanic, specialising in road trucks from my time in Port Hedland repairing Road Trains and more recently earth moving equipment across New South Wales. I have worked mechanically in just about every open cut coal pit in NSW as a field service mechanic taking on some pretty large jobs.
For the past 7 years, I have been working drive-in, drive-out to coal mines across NSW including
the Hunter Valley, Mudgee and Gunnedah. For a while, I had been on the lookout for an opportunity to return to the Coffs Coast permanently. So, when the chance to open Coffs Harbour Hydraulink presented itself, I didn’t hesitate. I have previously worked for 2 other Hydraulink branches but returned to mining, so I had a solid understanding of the company.
During my spare time I like to spend time with my family and enjoying the Coffs coast for all it is worth Frankly though, I don’t have a lot of spare time, however any free minute I have is usually spent on the farm as we also breed and spell racehorses, so you can usually find me out on the farm fixing fences, on the tractor slashing or seeding paddocks.
Apart from that, I do however love going to the beach with my family. And if we can sneak in a dinner and beer at the pub, I’ll take it!”
